Light Ministry will serve persons of all ages all disabilities and their family members and caregivers. 'LIGHT is an acronym for Leaders Illuminating the Gospel of Hope and Truth as we seek to disciple those we serve into a personal relationship with God.
We believe that children are a gift from God, loved by Him and cherished by their families! We also believe that every child should have an opportunity to know the great love of God and experience the compassion and care of the community of believers. Some children have a variety of special needs and require a more individualized teaching approach with a more active, hands-on learning environment. We endeavor to meet these needs with trained volunteers who will work directly with their families to develop a plan that provides a climate of safety and fun in a relaxed atmosphere.

to walk alongside families and children as they navigate the turbulent waters of special needs. We seek to share in their joys, heartaches, and challenges with the love and acceptance of Jesus Christ. Our goal is to serve individuals of any age with a developmental or physical disability, along with their family members and/or caregivers.
We would like to have some information about your child so we can make it a successful experience for you and your child! We will want to talk with you a bit, complete a very basic form that will help us begin to get to know your child and answer any questions you may have. At that time, you can give us a few suggestions on how we can best serve your family and bless your child through L.I.G.H.T. ministry.
Volunteers for LIGHT Ministry will have limited or personal experience, while others may have professional training. But all will have a heart to serve families with special needs children.
Volunteers are needed in all capacities of teaching Sunday School classes, 1:1 Buddies, leading groups and planning events. As well as lending helping hands for event set-up, tear down and administrative needs.
